As part of the Distant Adoption and Dignified Life in Ukraine projects, since 2003 we have been organising an opportunity for the donors involved to see their “adopted children or the elderly” and to get to know the environment in which they live and in which we help (we do not yet organise visits, due to distance, to the Zhytomyr and Ivano-Frankivsk regions and to Kiev).

Even though our scope of operation in Transcarpathia is only 600 kilometres away, it is, in many ways, a “different world”. Parents contribute financially to the journey, and therefore transport, accommodation and meals are provided for them in the town of Tiachiv.
As a part of the journey there are trips prepared for them to the polonynas, Kolochava, the Sinevyr National Nature Park, etc., and they meet the chief coordinator Anna and our other associates. These journeys tend to be full of experiences as well as, for many people, unexpected situations.
