Ukrainian festival
Are you interested in Ukraine? Would you like to go there sometime but it has never worked out so far? Do not despair, as every year Ukraine comes to you to Ostrava. As part of the Ukrainian Festival you have the opportunity to try the local specialities, listen to both folk and modern music, buy products, ornaments and practical objects made by Ukrainian artists, and learn something interesting through lectures, documentaries or a photo exhibition. At the same time you have the opportunity to meet us, the employees of the Humanitarian Aid and Development Cooperation Centre DCHOO, our colleagues, as well as our partners from Ukraine, who we work with on most projects.
When and where does the Festival take place?
The Festival takes place every year in June in the centre of Ostrava in the TV NOE garden. The date of the last year was 29th June 2019. The program always starts at 5 p.m. and continues roughly until 10 p.m. As of 2018, our Ukrainian Festival is part of the Festival in the Streets (Festival v ulicích).
Entrance fee?
The entrance fee is voluntary. The proceeds will support the activities of our Centre. The refreshments and drinks you can help yourself to throughout the entire festival are also for a voluntary contribution.
